How can I get faster by track season in the spring?

I want to compete in the 100m dash this season but I already do the 200m. I'm not sure what my 100m time is but my 40 yard dash is like 5.1 5.2 and I'm in 7th grade. Does anybody no any non complex easy and few ways to train and a couple exercises that will help give me good gains and results.

That's a really good time for your age! You see I compete in the 400m dash, which is longer then the one you want to compete in. But what I do is I sprint up a hill I have right in front of my house, so I can gain air capacity and endurance. But what you might want to do is just sprint a few meters then jog back then repeat about 20 times. Do this two times a day. Hope this helps and good luck in the spring!

you need strong legs and a lean upper body...
one way is to do squats and lift light weights with your arms.
you can also go to a field and do sprints and push yourself.
my 40 is a 4.9 and with even little workouts after time it can get you fast.

haha i'm sorry but if you want to get good times the work outs are not going to be easy. if your really serious start working on running 12 100's a day. but build up to it. so like start with 5 hard 200's and maybe 5 100's. its not easy but you can do it.

You are going to need to practice your starts, because a fast start is key in the 100m. Believe it or not, a VERY VERY good training for the 100m is to run the 200m. If you just work on fast starts, and run the 200m a lot...u will have NO problem with the 100m!! Works for me

run these dif workouts giving it like 85% of ur strength, not all out.
    6-8 200s
    100, 200, 300, 400, 400, 300, 200, 100
    6 300s
4-6 500s (try to go for an aright 400 time then go hard on the last 100)
