What major is a pyrotechnic engineer considered?

Im looking to do a engineering major; what type of engineering would a pyrotechnic engineer fall under? Like which one of the big majors do controlled explosions etc fall under? Right now I'm attending the University of Florida and i am looking to get into something that falls under that field but I'm not sure.

i think the engineer classification is more to make the job more important..

like sanitation engineer its not a general university level engineer classification..

Chemical or materials engineering could be close.

Missouri S&T offers degree programs in explosives engineering. It's currently only a Master's program and an undergraduate certificate. http://explosives.mst.edu/
