    Use statistics.
I need to know facts/statistics for a report.

In truth, you can always get a job. Problem is, what are you willing to do for it?

I got 2 interviews from only sending out half-assed resumes, problem is one of them I didn't end up getting and the 2nd was far away so living there and paying for gas would've not been covered by the pay.

The jobs are there, and I mean the bigger your search radius is the better, but it all comes down to how much are you willing to do for it.

If you're a prospective student looking to go into Civ Eng - there will always be jobs, and it's the field which'll grow the most in the next 10 years (aka don't go into mech or elec).
