Thread: How much is it to talk long distance on a home phone in Canada?

Does it charge by the minute? How much? I live in Ontario and I want to talk to someone in Alberta.

It depends on the long distance carrier that you have, and it depends on the calling plan you have with that carrier. It may also depend on the time of day that you make the call.

Unfortunately we do not know any of those details.

I suggest that you call your local phone company and inquire - the customer service phone number will be on your phone bill. They will know your long distance carrier, and, if the local phone company cannot tell you about those rates, they should be able to give you a phone number to call so you can find out.
