Thread: How do you programme a universal remote to operate a Bush TV on standby having lost the original remote?

The TV is stuck on standby and the manual of the remote says the TV shouldn`t be on standby and have tried check for the original remote on e-bay without success and the TV is a rear projection which unfortunately has been phased-out. Please someone out there help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you look in the instruction book, there should be a code which you can type into the new remote. If you've lost the book, they're sometimes available to view on the manufacturer's web site.

Even though the manual says tv should`nt be in standby when you input the code most of them say then push power button on remote so if code is correct the tv should either turn off or on either way you then know code is correct and continue with control functions as directed in remote manual hope this helps
