what is the smoothest way to type numbers into columns in Microsoft Excel?

    Give this a try,

    - Select the two column (range)
    - Press Ctrl+T (table format)
    - Press "OK"
    - Now you can use the "Tab" key to move across & down (Do not hit "Enter")

I have two columns of numbers I need to enter. Column on left is minutes, the column on the right is seconds. I need to type minutes, then seconds, then move back to the minutes column, then seconds, etc.

Is there a smooth way to do this? How should I position my fingers?

Can I format the worksheet to move back to the left column automatically after I enter something in the right column?

Select the Entire Column A & Column B ( or from the row you want to put new values)

Now enter values and press Tab key instead of Enter.

or if you don't want to select any range then

just press TAB to move right
and press enter when you want to go to begining of next row (only if you have pressed TAB in the complete row other wise it will shift to the first column where tab sequence started from)
use it you will understand it is little complicated to understand and to learn but once if you will bring it in practice you will have a tremendous control over keyboard to work speedly.
