How much money should I charge to make a website for someone?

How should I charge my clients? What amount do you think is reasonable? I know it depends on the site, but do you have any input on this, if you can imagine some site and how to charge. Thanks.

This all depends upon your educational background and experience. The cost for the site will follow after that information is addressed.

Yes it all depends but $200-$400 sounds fair depending on how in-depth and extensive the site. Some of my friends are amateurs and they get paid $50-$100 just for doing basic work for friends or local businesses.

It's true that it all depends on your skills, and also the website. A basic wordpress website is very different to a database driven dynamic content website portal.

Over the years, I worked out that a good starting point is $50 per page. That usually covers the basics for simple websites. Any additional programming, or graphics work, charge at your standard rate, which can be anything between $25 - $125 per hour depending on your level of skill.

Start low, and as business builds, raise your prices.

I've been building website for many years - and if you're serious about this as a business, get to know wordpress intimately - it is one of the most versatile tools you can use, will save you stacks of time, and impress your clients no end.

    hope this help,
    Paul.

Depends how many pages and how much time you spend on it...
