How do you write the molecular equation for dissolving hydrated compounds?

If I dissolve a solid BaCl2.2H2O in water to form a solution of barium chloride, how can I represent this reaction as an equation?

I am particularly confused about what to do with the "H2O" in the equation.

Barium Chloride dihydrate dissolves in water to form Ba+ and 2Cl-. The water is water and dissolves as water and joins the rest of the water, so it just goes away.
