How can I tell the difference between an industrial, cosmetics and food grade Titanium Dioxide?

I have been hearing about titanium dioxide in my field as a snack producer, however I am worried that it might not be food grade. Is there any way I can test if the titanium dioxide is food grade?

As an indivual you are unl;ikely to be able to tell the difference. However I would suggest that even industrial grades are non toxic. The only hazard given on industrial grades is a dust hazard. The main difference between the grades is the surface treatment.
