How much taxes should be taken out of mine and my husbands' paychecks?

I claim 4 dependents throughout the year and my paychecks are $961.38 Bi-weekly." before taxes "

My husband also claims 4 (big mistake yes), throughout the year and his paychecks are $980.62 before taxes
OK.. We already have taxes taken out we are just trying to see if the smount that is taken out of our paychecks is correct.

That is entirely up to you, especially if you don't owe at the end of the year.
visit IRS website www.irs.gov and use the withholding calculator.
If you are comfortable with the amount being withheld and you don't owe IRS seems like you are doing it just right.

If I were president, you and your husband would have nothing taken out of your checks.

In order to arrive at the most accurate answer you would need to complete the W-4 worksheet, which is available at IRS.gov.

We generally recommend that our clients claim between 1 and 3 allowances depending upon thier preference to treat their refund as a form of forced savings.
