Can a company make an hourly employee work mandatory overtime in Colorado?

I already work a lot of overtime, but my company also requires overtime. When I was hired I was not informed of this and signed nothing stating I would. I just do it. On the weeks I don't - can my company do anything to enforce me to work or can I legally be fired for not working the overtime?

There is no limit to the number of hours you can be required to work, according to the US Department of Labor Fair Labor Standards Act.

Question: How many hours per day or per week can an employee work?

Answer: The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) does not limit the number of hours per day or per week that employees aged 16 years and older can be required to work.
