What properties of life do viruses and living organisms share?

I need help on creating a list of characteristics of life that are shared by viruses and the ones they lack which classifies them as non living organisms.
So I know they are not composed of cells, they don't grow, don't have homoeostasis and do not metabolize. Am I missing anything? But I'm confused as to what properties of life they DO share.
I'd really appreciate any help! Thanks.

Viruses can replicate, evolve, and show organization which are shared characteristics with living organisms.

They are composed of the same basic compounds as other forms of life (proteins, sugars, ribonucleic acids (DNA/RNA), and lipids). They use the same genetic code as other organisms, otherwise they wouldn' t be able to replicate inside their host. Like living organisms, viruses are able to replicate. Unlike living organisms, though, viruses are NOT able to do this by themselves. They need to utilise the reproductive mechanisms of the cell-host. This is their biggest and most important difference from all other organisms (assuming you can call a virus so), which leads many biologists to assert that viruses are not forms of life.

Another difference is that in viruses, we can find biclonal RNA and monoclonal DNA, in contrast to single-cellular and multi-cellular organisms.

Also, viruses are subject to natural selection and thus undergo the process of evolution.

P.S. I am not a native speaker so I might have some terminology wrong.
