    What is the name of the liquid that slows down living organisms for easier microscopy?

    I used it in micro class and cell bio. You add a drop to the slide and it slows the protozoans down. What's it called and where can I buy it?

    Probably methylcellulose.
    I don't know where to buy it in a pure form, but you can get citrucel at your local 99 store.
