What are the biological concepts and processes relating to xenotransplantation?

I'm doing a research assignment on xenotransplantation but I can't find any information regarding the biology behind it all; all I've found so far is a definition and the ethical concerns on the topic. If anyone can assist me with information it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Xenotransplantation (xeno- from the Greek meaning "foreign") is the transplantation of living cells, tissues or organs from one species to another . Herat of a pig is more suitable for human being , but diseases associated with animals only, can be transfered to man and that poses new threats. There is ethical issue and illegal also. You will get more from following links. There are more than 300000 references in net.
