What are the benefits of orange on the skin?

Since it is rich in Ascorbic acid, the main question is what are the effects of ascorbic acid on the skin?
Yes, free radical scavangers that destroy the free radicals. It reduces erythema, correct? I have been using a Vitamin C mask and cleanser in school and i've been trying to research further on the type of clients it is good for.

So far it seems it would help people with some blemishes at it reduces inflammation.

Oranges can restore damaged skin, as they contain Vitamin C which helps cells to heal.
Also, some research shows that there is a chemical, citrus lumonoid, within oranges which helps to fight against skin cancer - it is not as good as sun screen, but it does help.
Research has been done which shows that oranges can help heal acne. Oranges also help to activate the body's detoxification process. The anti-oxidants inside the skin and the zest can slow down the visible processes of aging by protecting the skin from free radicals. They help to transport oxygen around the body.
