When we hunted after animals until they over-heated, how long would we be running for? How many times a day?
They probubly ran 10 to 20 miles I would guess. Just long enough for the animal to be tired enough to be taken down. They probubly had a big hunt 2 or 3 times a week, depends on how many mouths they had to feed. A kill would probubly last a couple days. You can only spectulate because it goes back to the days long before record.
