How long does it take to grow bread mold?

I'm doing a science fair project on which type of bread grows mold the fastest.
I'm going to spray water on one side of each of the different bread slices then put them in ziploc bags and store them in a drawer or somewhere dark.
How long would it be until they start growing mold?
How much water should I put and do I only do it once then just wait ?
    I have about 2 weeks.
    Thanks.

There was another posting the last day or two about bread mold. Take a look at those comments.

The person had trouble growing mold. I pointed out that cheap commercial brands of bread, sold in supermarkets, are loaded with preservatives to increase shelf life, and are sometimes difficult to have mold grow on them. A better choice would be fresh baked bread from a bakery that has few preservatives.

Make sure you note the ingredients on each type of bread you are going to test....

the humidity will affect it dramically, i know people who live in darwin that have to place their bread into the fridge because it can grow mouldy overnight

It will grow faster if you provide some starting spores. There probably are a few on the bead already since fungal spores are everywhere. But sprinkling a little dust wiped off a windowsill with your finger, onto the bread will usually get things going faster. Temperature is also important. In a cool place the growth will be slow. In a place where the temperature is between 70 and 80 degrees F, it will be much faster. You should see something within a few days under ideal conditions.

Mold is found EVERYWHERE! It should take about 3-5 roughly. Mold likes moist, dark, warm areas, with lots of fresh air. I usually use a petri dish for this, though a ziploc bag would be fine, I'd also put in a damp paper towel to ensure moistness.

Also, Mold can be very dangerous, I'd also recommend you look at it in a ventilated area if you are going to take it out for any reason.
