I should add that I sometimes hear it when I break, but never when I turn right. And the ride seems a little rougher as well - almost like the shocks are going. My 4 year old says it feels bouncy. Does anyone have any idea what this might be?
| My 98 Chevy Cavalier is making a squealing nose that is most pronounced when I turn left. Any ideas? |

worn shocks causing left biased stress when steering or braking (which causes the weight of the car to shift forward and compress the suspension).
Easy enough to have shocks replaced. Make sure you replace at least all the shock on a single axle (there are 2 in front and 2 in back). Replacing only one shock will create an ill handling situation.
Get the brakes and front end checked out.
Fan belt for the squealing, or worn brake shoes.
Shocks for the rough ride.
I had a 1997 Cavalier and I had the same problem. It is your shocks.
i am thinking wheel bearing, or brakes,
never the less, you need to have it checked out.
Be careful
