Thread: Since the first moon landing was staged which was the first moon landing if the others werent staged?

It wasnt staged.

The first moon landing was not staged. The proof is in the massive amount of evidence already presented by NASA and the rest of the world. If you think it was staged where is your proof of that?

The amount of proof that it wasn't staged is so overwhelming that the only way you can think it didn't happen would be to willfully ignore all the evidence so you can believe in some crappy hoax.

I'll give you three bits of proof.

One is that in order to believe it didn't happen, you have to accept the premise that of the 400,000 people who worked on the program in the US, _not one_ has come forward to say it was faked. No drunken confessions in a bar, no "don't open this letter until I'm dead" instructions to surviving family members, not one person with an axe to grind and the knowledge that they'd quickly become rich if they "spilled the beans". The US government has managed to keep a total lid on it for 40 years.

This is the same government that couldn't keep the Watergate burglary a secret for 30 days when fewer than a dozen people knew about it.

The second is that in the mid 1990's, the Japanese put the SELENE spacecraft into orbit around the moon. One of it's instruments could _very_ accurately measure the height of the lunar surface as the the spacecraft orbited. This data can be used to create a "ground level" 3-D terrain map of the lunar surface. When you do that for the Apollo landing sites, the terrain matches what is in the photographs exactly. Since the data wasn't available until the mid 90's, but the first photos date from 1969, the _only_ way that could happen would be if the photos were taken from the lunar surface.

Third is the Soviets. They hated us, but they weren't stupid. Since they knew when and where we launched from, and when and where we were going to land, they could accurately predict where the spacecraft wouuld be at any point. Every time they pointed their receivers at where the Apollo spacecraft was supposed to be, and listened on the right frequency, they picked up the signals from the spacecraft--not just the voice, but the telemetry data as well. If they had even half an idea that it was faked, they would have announced it to the world. And yet, when we made the first landing, they congratulated us on the acheivement.

Now, let's hear your proof that it was staged. I'd be really surprised if you can come up with something that wasn't refuted 35 years ago.
