Thread: How does the equivalence principle relate to the twin paradox?

Its a question for a class and I can't figure out a way to connect the two.
I know that the equivalence principle applys to the twin paradox in some way. It's a question in my cosmology class and I'm finding some information on it but I cannot wrap my brain around it.

It doesn't. The twins paradox is an example in special relativity. The equivalence principle is an axiom of general relativity.
