Thread: What type of fairytale plots appeal to you?

What do you like to read when it comes to fairytale like stories? Do you like the classics? Is romance and fairy tales always good together? Just tell me everything you like/dislike about fairy tales.

Ooh! I really like fairy tales! They are fun to read! I just font like it when they stereotype the princesses...you know, girls are weak, so they are waiting for their prince to rescue them. Personally, I like stories like Cinderella and Beauty and Beast, because they are not stereotyped. Cindy knows how to work, yet still be kind to the others, Belle who changes a hideous beast, inside and out. I also like Mulan. You dont see a girl taking a fathers place to fight in war everyday. I hope there will be more stories like that in the future.

I dislike the weak females and the bland charming princes. And love stories in general, haha. I love adventure, danger, a reason why each character does what they do, a magical world without magical fixes. Colors. Beauty. Everyone having long gorgeous hair. I love when characters have to work together and strive for their goals and enemies being multidimensional.
