What is a good idea for an artwork piece involving a human and something about nature that communicates a message?
Use of media is acrylic paint.
What are some good ideas of portraying artwork with landscapes or nature?

how about a piece with a trashed forest or whatever with human faces hidden within the trees bark or just the lines of leaves or whatever showing the bad state of the forest with the humans weaved in to convey the impact we leave
thus your message is the destruction that comes with mankind

I had that same problem before, so I started doing surrealism/fantasy, and turned humans into part trees, plants, vines entangling a human, or whatever I found in nature and humans alike. Its a big step if you don't like fantasy or surrealism, but try it.
