Thread: If god suddenly blesses you and you become immortal. What would be your immdiate reaction ?

I may be slightly happy that I will be able to help people perpetually. But otherwise I am not scared of death so I wont be much affected. What about you ?
Someone has written to me - Pinki you should have asked question god makes you immortal and always young. So I would be always young , have sex , eat tasty food etc. Friends , Do we take birth on the earth only for enjoying sex and have tasty food ?

I would use my eternity to learn as much as I possibly could. Science, art, philosophy... No subject would go untouched. Then I would use my amazing knowledge to better mankind as best I could.

My immediately reaction would kill the god with my own hand, and become a new god. Because I know no such thing called "God" but merely imagination.

Good God! God does exist!

I'd be like, omg I have to save humanity, so I won't end up alone!

Sounds more like a curse than a blessing.

My first thought would be what does "immortal" mean? If my head gets cut off...what happens? Or is my skin impervious to all wounds? Am I now a superhero? Should I get a costume?

Then reality would set in and I would realize I will have to bury my children, and grand children, and great grand children. And then I think I may ask to be mortal again.

Religious people often fantasise that this is going to happen to them to them one day. Conveniently enough it'll only happen when they're dead (just like I'm going to win the lottery one day but only when I'm dead. If I don't then I'll be dead so I've got nothing to lose by fantasising about it. Religious people pay more money for religious things than most people pay for lottery tickets).
