How does the Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation afford to do your DNA test for free?

Wouldn't they lose money, and deplete their resources?
I can interpret them, so that is great with me! (I've spent alot of time studying it anyways, out of interest)
So how do they pay for what FamilyTreeDNA would charge like $300 for?

It took them about 6 months to do mine. They don't send you a report but put the results online which if you are like me you can't interpret them.

They have contracted with GeneTree to interpret the results for you. You have to have a signon with GeneTree which will not cost you anything. They charge me $19.50 to interpret the results for me.
